Soil Respiration

Compilation of all LTREB Bulk Soil Respiration data. This includes a summer collection file from 2020, completed by Cameron Clay, a fall collection file from 2020, completed by Cameron Clay, two fall collection files from 2020, completed by John Den Uyl, a file of data collected in October of 2019 by John Den Uyl, a file of data collected in 2015 by Nick Van Dyke, a set of data collected in 2014 by Julia Yang, and data collected by Laura Hickey and Cameron Clay in 2021.

  • Definition: The date that a particular row was collected.
  • Type: Date/time
  • Date format: YYYY/MM/DD

    • No missing data = No missing data
time
  • Label: time
  • Definition: the timestamp representing the time at which the data was collected. All in 24 hour clock time, and some are rounded to the nearest half hour, depending on the data set.

  • Date format: HH-MM-SS
  • Missing values:
    • NA = NA
stand
  • Label: stand
  • Definition: the LTREB stand from which the data was taken.
  • Type: Nominal
  • Missing values: None specified
plot
  • Label: plot
  • Definition: The LTREB plot within a stand from which the data was taken.
  • Type: Nominal
  • Missing values: None specified
stand_plot
  • Label: stand_plot
  • Definition: The LTREB stand and LTREB plot collate together, to give a unique ID for each LTREB plot
  • Type: Nominal
  • Missing values: None specified
collar
  • Label: collar
  • Definition: The collar within the plot that is under examination. Collars are located at 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 meters from plot center, at azimuths of 0, 72, 144, 216, 288, respectively. The distance from plot center was used as the identifying feature, and only the 3, 9, and 15 were studied, primarily.

efflux_1
  • Label: efflux_1
  • Definition: Soil efflux measurement in umol CO2 per meter squared per second, according to LI-6400. This represents the first of the efflux measurements.
