All trees in 0.1 acre plots were given ID tags, including trees that recruited after the establishment of the plot. All trees were stem mapped, with XY values reporting distance from the plot's SW corner. In plots 6 and 7, plots were divided into milacre quadrats, and coordinates report position relative to quadrat corner (??NEED BVK'S INPUT ON PLOTS 6 AND 7 COORDINATES).Tree DBH censuses were conducted on numerous (irregularly spaced) occasions: Plot 2--1938, 45, 51, 55, 68, 73, 79, 91, 2000, Plot 3--1938, 45, 51, 55, 68, 73, 79, 91, 2000, Plot 4--1938, 45, 51, 55, 68, 73, 79, 91, 2000, Plot 5--1938, 45, 51, 55, 73, 79, 91, 2001, Plot 6--1938, 45, 51, 55, 81, 91, Plot 7--1938, 45, 51, 55, 81, 91 covers Tawas peat. All DBH data are associated with tree ID numbers. In years 1979 and prior, DBH is reported to 1 inch, after which DBH is reported to 0.1 inch. In Plot 6, the count and width of shrub rammets was also recorded, by species and milacre subplot. Additional DBH measurements (all trees taller than 4.5 feet) are provided for Plot 2 from 1988, 1998, and 2008, and the count of saplings > 1 ft and count of standing dead trees are also reported in 1998 and 2008. Data is species-wise, but ID tags are not used.
