Abstract | The purpose of this study was to assess changes in vegetation in Smith’s Bog, Cheboygan County, Michigan (T37N, R3W, Sec. 35) over a period of some 60 years and to prepare a detailed vegetation map to serve as a basis for future comparison. Several approaches may be used in the study of wetland vegetation succession. The most efficient method for our purpose was to compare previous vegetation descriptions and maps with present conditions. |
