Abstract

We realize that our studies on the miracidia of the Trichobilharzia are of a very preliminary nature. However, they have shown clearly that in the genus Trichobilharzia, as in other schistosomes, there is a considerable multiplication of germinal cells in the miracidium before it prenetrates into the intermediate host and metamorphoses into the mother sporocyst.
