Soil and litter dwelling macroinvertebrates near litter application plots
Terrestrial
Project Abstract:
In association with ongoing research at UMBS, we will sample soil and litter dwelling macroinvertebrates near litter application plots for EBIS/AmeriFlux plots (Project overseen by Paul Hanson, Oak Ridge National Lab). At each EBIS/Ameriflux litter application site, we will sort 2 leaf litter plots (50x50 cm), and then dig 2 soil pits (30x30x30 cm), and collect all macroinvertebrates encountered. These will be preserved in 70%EtOH, and trasported to Athens, GA for identification.
