Attention is called to the gregarious habit of species of Monoblepharis and the questions are raised as to how they maintain their specific identities and if hybrids are not sometimes formed. A population of species from Michigan is briefly described and one, strongly suggestive of a hybrid, is named Monoblepharis micrandra sp. nov.
