Abstract | During the last four years we have been making a taxonomic study of the Dermocybe flora of North America. As in other groups of fleshy fungi, including the genera Galerina, Pholiota, and Hygrophorus, we have found that the limits of previously described or recorded species are not well defined in terms of North American specimens and that there are a number of undescribed species. This paper contains the descriptions of eight new taxa and notes on C. uliginosus. Data are from specimens that were described when fresh, properly dried, and later studied microscopically. |
