Freshwater algal flora of the Hawaiian Islands.

Project Abstract:
This project will create the first ever freshwater tropical algal flora from the only tropical biome within the United States. Given these are oceanic islands, additional questions relate to the origin and development of this flora, and the levels of endemism seen on the islands. At the University of Michigan Biological Station we will be collecting images and writing species descriptions.
