Continuous measurements of soil moisture and temperature obtained at 30 minute time intervals at four locations within forests located at the University of Michigan Biological Station property. Two forest patches are represented: the control and experimental plots of the Forest Accelerated Succession ExperimenT (FASET), a DOE-NICER funded study, in which manipulations of the canopy structure over an area of 40 hectare simulate a shift from mid- to late-successional tree community.
