Crayfish Ecology and sociobiology
Aquatic
Project Abstract:
My lab studies two aspects of crayfish ecology. First, we are interested in the chemical ecology of crayfish. This includes chemical orientation behavior, predator-prey relationships, and foraging decisions. Second, we are interested in aggression, social behavior, and dominance hierarchies.
Investigator(s):
Paul Moore
Methods:
Behavior, in situ monitoring of behavior through scuba diving, video methods, artificial stream and lake mesocosm work at the stream lab
