Abstract | The extent to which two Michigan and two Florida Mesocyclops edax populations are distinguishable from one another based upon life history traits was examined using discriminant function analyses and phenotypic correlations between traits. Clutch size was the best discriminator among populations. No consistent patterns in phenotypic correlations were evident among populations. The different life histories of the four populations were explained in the context of food level and predation. |
