Abstract

Ten brush shelters were installed in Douglas Lake, Cheboygan County, Michigan, in 1937. Our studies of the shelters revelaed in 1965, 1966, and 1967 that after 30 years the shelters had collapsed and spread out but were still concentrating game fish, much as they did when they were installed. The shelters also seemed to enhance the establishment of aquatic vegetation in and near them.
