Abstract

Craspedacusta sowerbyi, the sole species of freshwater "jellyfish" was collected from Burt Lake, Michigan in August, 1969. This collection of three newly released medusae represents a range extension approximately 105 miles north of previously published state occurrences. Physicochemical, biological and limnological characteristics of the lake and collection area are discussed.
