Abstract | During the past year a concentration of bryological effort both in the field and in the laboratory has resulted in numerous additions to the moss flora of the state, some of them of unusual interest. In addition to the nine species and two varieties listed below, several records of interest will be published elsewhere by Dr. Wolfgang S. G. Maass, who collected Sphagna in the vicinity of Douglas Lake and also in the Upper Peninsula last summer, by Dr. Paul L. Redfearn, who taught at the Gull Lake Biological Station and collected some mosses in the southern part of the state last summer, and by Mr. Samuel J. Mazzer who has recently found at least one moss new to the state. We have seen and confirmed all of their additions to the flora. |
