Abstract | During the summer of 1954, an investigation of chytridiaceous fungi was carried on in the Douglas Lake Region, Cheboygan County, Michigan. In addition to the numerous well-known forms encountered in the course of this work, two new species and one hitherto unreported in the United States were found. Two of the fungi were parasites of phytoplankters collected in Douglas Lake; the other occurred abundantly on representatives of several genera of green and blue-green algae in the vicinity of the University of Michigan Biological Station. |
