Ed Voss (Fall, 1999): he remembers a herbarium label from a Michigan lily that says that Reese and his relative(s?) collected it from the swamp. Maybe the hermit was this relative. [Try to find this label].
Lisa Readmond: Andy Grobaski’s (Plains Road) uncle or Jack Grobaski’s brother may know about the hermit.
David Gates: Frank Gates always called him the hermit. David was around when the hermit was there.
Clem Bur (Centennial Memoirs book): “The hermit was a schoolteacher who lived over by West Burt Lake Road. After he was gone, I hauled his old cabin over to the Station and used it for a shed—I put it across from where Willard’s house is now.”
